Since December 2010 he has been engaged by Daisy Group Plc as Consultant
Projects Director, running some key mobile projects for the Group, including
the strategy and plan for integrating the new Spiritel Mobile division into
Daisy with 37,000 connections.
From September 2009 until December 2010 Russell was engaged as Commercial
Director for Mobile for Daisy. He had P&L responsibility for Daisy's mobile
solutions division, which included integrating the service provision businesses
acquired from Redstone, Aerofone and BNS, totalling £24m turnover, with 46,000
mobiles under management. Within this role he developed the strategy for mobile
solutions and negotiated materially improved commercial terms with the mobile
In addition to running the mobile business he was project sponsor for the
complex migration of Redstone from its London offices to a fixed deadline
involving 105 staff, and contributing to £18m of run rate synergies for the
acquisitions to March 2010 for Daisy.
Russell also managed the sale of the Freedom4 Wifi business, assisted Matt Riley
the CEO with the strategy for selling the Freedom4 Wimax business, and aided
the Group by carrying out due diligence on potential mobile acquisitions and
developing the strategy for integration of those acquisitions.
Previous roles include being Consultant to the Board at Arrow Mobile
Communications Plc, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Flexphone Ltd,
Divisional Director for Vodafone, and Group Operations Director for Isis
Telecommunications Management Ltd.
Will Naylor is a Senior Technical Consultant with over 20 years of experience in
the Mobile Telecommunications, Travel and Air Travel industries, a significant
amount of which has been within its finance sector. He has been Project
Manager/Development Manager through the full project life-cycle for numerous
major software development projects. An experienced Systems Architect/Designer,
Database Administrator and trouble-shooter in Web, multi-tier, client/server
and business intelligence developments, Will has also accumulated a wealth of
experience in Team Management, Project Management, Strategic Planning, Business
Planning, Systems Analysis and Design.
Since March 2010 Will has been engaged as Mobile Technical Consultant at Daisy
Group plc. This role encompassed Project Management, Business Analysis and Lead
Developer on Mobile system migration and Business Intelligence projects.
From November 2006 until February 2010 he was IT Development Manager at
Flexphone Ltd (part of the Vodafone group).
Previous roles included IT Development Manager at Isis Telecommunications
Management Ltd, IT Development at TV Travel Shop (part of USA Interactive) and
IT Development Manager for BAA plc.
James has worked in Telecoms in an operations and technical billing environment for fifteen years and managed teams covering
customer care, billing, IT and Technical Services, with up to 45 staff. James has the ability to keep the main focus of the
departments working for him on service from a customer perspective, with the emphasis being on clear communication and
delivery within budget and margin parameters.
